The Motivation
Counseling is more than just a career to me; it is a calling rooted in a deep respect for people and their stories. I am inspired by the courage it takes to invite someone into the parts of life that feel painful or confusing, and I hold that trust with great care.
I believe that we are created for connection, and many struggles are shaped by how we encounter closeness, safety, and being truly understood. When these feel strained, it often leads to disconnection or uncertainty. My role is to walk alongside you with genuine care and curiosity, helping you understand what is happening beneath the surface.
The Details
I primarily work with Christian couples and young women facing relationship challenges, communication issues, and trauma. Together, we slow things down to better understand patterns and the deeper emotions that shape them, creating space for meaningful change.
Faith can be a meaningful part of the healing process, and I welcome the opportunity to thoughtfully integrate it into our work, always guided by your comfort and choice.
I strive to create a warm, engaging space where meaningful work can unfold - with room for both depth and lightness. My goal is to help you find clarity, strengthen your connections, and move forward with a clearer sense of purpose and stability in your life and relationships.

My Specialties
Young Women
Young Christian women often wrestle with questions of identity and, not just who they are, but who God says they are. They may carry the emotional wounds of family dysfunction and trauma or feel confused about their faith in this ever-changing world.
Counseling can create space for healing and navigating life transitions. Whether it is discernment for dating relationships, learning to create boundaries with friends, or deciding your vocational calling, I am here to help.
I will not beat you over the head with the Bible but I will allow space for you to be real, to untangle the lies, and become the woman that you were created to be.
If you are interested, I will pray over you and help you to develop spiritual rhythms that bring about strength, peace, and joy.
Christian Couples
In a world that de-values commitment, I feel called to respond in such a way that strengthens and supports healthy marriage relationships. I believe that every couple has a story worth fighting for and, with the right tools, they can rebuild and reflect the kind of love that God calls them to embody – grace-filled, kind, and enduring.
My approach to couples counseling is to guide you through what a healthy relationship looks like. I use evidence-based practices along with the biblical principles of love, forgiveness, covenant, and grace.
I will encourage each partner to become their healthiest self and help you both discover the unique strengths you bring into your marriage relationship.
Finally, I will partner with you to learn effective communication and conflict resolution skills so that, rather than continuing the negative cycle, you rediscover connection and intimacy.
Trauma-Informed Therapy and EMDR
Traumatic memories can sometimes become “stuck” in the brain and body, leading to ongoing emotional distress and relational dysfunction. It can feel overwhelming, especially when your nervous system is constantly overstimulated and cannot slow down enough to heal itself.
EMDR is a therapeutic approach used to reprocess traumatic memories so that they lose their intense emotional charge. Once therapy is completed, clients are better able to integrate those memories into their life story and move forward in more positive and healthy ways.
How Does It Work?
EMDR is an eight-phase structured approach in which a client is encouraged to recall a distressing memory including thoughts, emotions, and body sensations. Then, the therapist initiates bilateral stimulation (i.e., handheld pulsers, tapping, or eye movements) while the client focuses on and reprocesses their experience. Over time, the traumatic memory becomes less vivid and less distressing which leaves clients feeling more “empowered” and more “safe.”
What Can EMDR Be Used For?
EMDR is used to treat a variety of conditions including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, panic disorders, grief, and childhood abuse and neglect.
As a trauma-informed therapist, I will ensure that you have a voice in the therapeutic process and that you choose how the process goes. I will also help you learn the skills to calm your nervous system and reclaim your body’s ability to heal itself.
